Flower Fields, Carlsbad, CA
I know as a "travel" website people (including me) expect to read about far away places and only HOPE that one day you get to visit and see that amazing place too, and as much as I would want to spill my guts and share about my experience with you guys in every other post...for now, at least, I will like to tell you about local areas and in state places that I've come to really enjoy.
So far this month I've been and done several things, one of which was driving to a place on the coast not too far from where I live and that is the GORGEOUS Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. I saw a post by Jacqui Saldana (babyboybakery) on Instagram and I convinced my boyfriend to take me that next morning lol it was the perfect excuse to get out and see something new. It did not disappoint! It was one of the most beautiful things that you can see. All the different colors...more amazing is the rows and rows and rows of flowers!
It was not hard to find at all, but be warned, weekends are definitely busyyy! We went on a Sunday and it took us a good minute to find parking (we did not know there was an extended parking lot in the back -__- ) You can pay online for your tickets or buy them at the entrance, but most importantly BRING. CASH $$$. You can pay for your tickets and wagon rides with cash or card but once you go inside to the outdoor field you might want to have some paper currency on your person for purchases like ice cream, lemonade (other fluids like water) other snacks and best part freshly made kettle korn!!
The weather was perfect and the flowers where almost at full peak! I think the most surprising thing was a had Ø allergies! I got to enjoy a couple of hours outside in the middle of a flower field, and dirt, walking around eating some snacks and hoping on some wagons rides with no sneezing and watery eyes. The pictures I took do not do it justice. This was a beautiful place and a great time to have on your day off, or just any day you can make a drive out there. The flowers are in peak bloom and the fields are open until mid May! Make it into a day and head for the beach as well!
